WATCH OUT!
I'm going to start *jogging.
No really, I am. I swear.
Contrary to what Ryan thinks, I am not starting to *jog just so I can get a kick ass jogging stroller.
Although, BOB certainly helps with the motivation.
*refers to walking faster than I normally would, with the occasional jog thrown in. I'm a horrible exerciser but now that I have surpassed the 30 mark I feel like I should do something.

Rainy Day Fun
It was a crappy day here in the Midwest so we met some friends at the children's museum for a little fun.

Is it weird that....
T calls the vacuum by name?
We have a Dyson (love it!) and we call it...well, Dyson. Or Sir Dyson or The Dyson. Anyway, I digress. The other day she is walking around shouting "Die, Die, Die" and I was starting to get a little nervous. I mean, what the heck kid? Who are you yelling "Die!" at? It most certainly better not be me.
This went on for some time until I realized that as she was pointing at the closet. The closet where Dyson lives.
Ohhhh, Dyson!
Phew!

15 month appointment
We just got back from Tiny's big 15 month appointment! She was a very brave girl and really didn't mind being there until the very end when the crabby old nurse gave her a shot :(
She is getting big-she is almost 23 lbs and is 31 1/2 inches tall. The doctor seemed impressed with her development so I am happy :)
She is talking up a storm-her favorite words are No, Oh No & Uh-Oh, which are used ALL day long. The No is accompanied by a shaking of the finger (usually directed at the dogs) and the Oh No & Uh Oh are very drawn out and dramatic. She can also name our 3 dogs, Maeby, Doo-Dee (Smokey) and Hiii-Peetaa (Peanut). She can say doggies, meow (whenever she sees a cat or anything that could be a cat), bobbie (balloon, light fixture or anything that is in the sky), shoes, eye...there is more that I can't think of right now. She is really trying to imitate everything we say...gotta watch our mouths!
She can point out some body parts and point to certain animals in a book, she can also make animal sounds (dog, cat, horse, sheep, pig, cow, snake).
She is also starting to play with her dolls. She likes to put them in her stroller and feed them....she also likes to try to stuff them in the diaper genie :)
She is also big on giving kisses to everyone and everything. She loves to hug and kiss the dogs, it's very cute.
She loves shoes and bags and will show her shoes to anyone who will look!
I can't believe what a little girl she has become in the past few months, it is just amazing to me.

1 year ago today......
Our phone rang.
It was Jan from CHSFS. I had just returned from Seattle the day before and I was folding laundry, Ryan was on his way home from school.
It was a Wednesday at 1:53 in the afternoon.
The rest is a blur.

The rest is a blur.
I remember looking at the caller ID, seeing CHSFS and shaking. I remember Jan asking me if I wanted to conference Ryan in and I said "No! Just tell me!!! I'll fill him in when he gets home!" I remember that I didn't cry...I didn't cry until much later but I couldn't stop shaking. I remember Jan's exact words were "I have a little girl I want to tell you about....."
I called Ryan as soon as I hung up with Jan and told him "We are parents!" he couldn't understand me and I said it like 3 more times before screaming "YOU HAVE A DAUGHTER!!! " I waited until he got home to open the email (I paced outside, cursing him for taking so damn long) Of course, we couldn't open the picture file and I was practically in hysterics and had to call CHSFS to ask them to help us.
Gosh, seeing that photo for the first time.....the feelings I had are indescribable. She was ours. Our baby girl. All of the waiting and stress was gone (of course, only to be replaced with more waiting and a much different type of stress!)
What a wild and crazy journey we have been on. That adorable 2.5 month old baby in the photo is now a gorgeous and very rambunctious toddler.
Sometimes I still can't wrap my brain around it!

Oh, how I love this little girl with all of my heart.

Dancing Queen
1. Yes, that is Kermit the Frog singing in the background :)
2. It only looked like she hit her head on the chair.
3. Notice how totally uninterested Smokey is.
