Shout Out

It's been long overdue. I need to give a BIG shout out to the 3 clowns that reside in my house. They have put up with alot in the past year and a half. From no longer being the centers of attention, to dealing with a screaming baby disrupting their slumber, to many pinches and way too many tail & ear pullings.

They are now the center of her world. And surprisingly, she is the center of their world.

I always worried that our old man, Smokey, wouldn't get along with her. He is a pretty aloof dog and has never been much for affection. For a Lab mix, he is certainly un-Labrador like. Well, except for his obsession with food.

He absolutely adores her. She throws the ball and he actually brings it back. Just for her. I could never get him to do that!

It is amazing, the relationship between child and dog(s).

We are so lucky to have the dogs that we have.

Here's to you, Maeby, Peanut & Smokey!

Wow

YAY!! T was issued her Certificate of Citizenship!! She is now officially an American Citizen and I am done with paperwork! Woot!

It took us 2 1/2 hours to drive downtown to Immigration in the snow, during rush hour. I paid $12 to park and literally spent 10 minutes inside Immigration. Piece of cake.

We celebrated with brunch at Toast and then picked up 5 tons of Ethiopian food for our celebratory dinner tonight :)

*edit- I actually just sat down and looked at the certificate and it seems that she became a citizen on November 4, 2008. The day President Obama was elected. I thought that was pretty cool :)

Tomorrow we go here.....

and I really have no idea what to expect.

An interview? More information? Maybe they are just going to hand us T's COC???? The letter was so very vague.....
